That's how Webster's defines it. I am amazed at the technology we use every single day! It facinates me that I can check my e-mail and 'google' most any subject using my phone! My phone. Did you understand that, my flippin phone does stuff like that!

That's her, Eunice. My phone. I've had her for a little over two months now. We don't get along all that well. Why? Well, Eunice has many a 'glitch' and the really sad part is her creators (LG) knew this when they threw her and her siblings on the market. It's not really her fault, none of us get to pick our genetics... well atleast not now. But who's to say what will happen given the technology we do have?
Allow me to introduce you to my newest technological acquisition...

This is Reginald. Reginald is a cardiac monitor I had implanted last
Tuesday. Two weeks ago today I dropped like rock in my driveway. Passed out. Syncope, that's what the fancy-schmancy Doctor's call it. I call it scary as Hell. I was talking to my step-son and friend one minute and the next... thud. I've always been terrified of passing out, but it turns out it's not as scary as I'd thought. Oh, sure, afterwards it's terrifying but truly as it's happening there's no time to be afraid. The whole incident left me feeling a little better about dying. I'm not afraid for I know more than likely there won't be time to panic. So now Reginald lives right above my left boob. I tried to convince my EP to just go ahead and do a breast lift while he was in there. He declined. *sigh*
Currently I'm working on my appointment with Dr. Barry Maron at the Minneapolis Heart Institute in late Spring. Dr. Maron is this country's leading authority on the type of heart condition I have, or don't have (yes, my life can't have enough complications and now my Dr. in Knoxville thinks I may not even have this disease).
I quit smoking. 14 days now. Please don't cheer for me because I'm still a little pissed off about the whole thing. I had every intention of quitting before turning 45 in '10 but being scared into stopping wasn't exactly my plans! In my twisted little mind I can almost see the Almighty laughing to himself while watching this whole thing unfold saying, "she said she wanted to quit and be healthier"!
I am actually journaling with a pen and notebook as trying to do this on Eunice requires alcohol AND cigarettes!! Her little keypad leaves a lot to be desired. I think about all of my readers, I hope both of you are doing well! :)
If anyone has any good suggestions for some inspirational reading please let me know, I don't want to resort to nerve pills and I won't even consider picking up a cigarette, and now that the 'experts' think even one drink a day increases a woman's chances of getting several different cancers, I need some harmless motivation.
I hope everyone is well...

Life Is.....
by Mother Theresa
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

I really appreciate it Lady! And I'm keeping Reggie close to my heart, lol. Yes, I know that's corny but it's one of my favorite jokes these days, lol. Would love any reading suggestions you might have!

Thanks bawdy :) So far so good with Reg but he won't prevent anything from happening but if I faint again he should be able to tell us what caused it.
It's nice to have support too :) I really appreciate that.

Battle Of The Bulge
"I'll start a new one Monday", we've heard it all before,
but if I don't really start one soon I won't make it through the door.
I start with good intentions of that I can't deny,
I'm getting fatter by the hour, I'll really have to try.
So no more chips or chocolate, no more 'pigging out'
I'll be be very careful what I eat of that there'll be no doubt.
I'll watch my waist get tiny, I'll watch my figure thin,
Oh what a joy it's going to be to at last be nice and slim.
I can see me walking down the street in dress size number ten,
I just have to resist and resist I will when I get a hungry yen.
With exercise in every form and regular daily jogs,
you'll see me lazing by the pool in my top designer togs.
So come join me all you tubbies, come join with me at last,
I'll need all the help that I can get to get me through this fast.
If you see me eating lollies or sneaking greasy fries,
then smack my hand and click your tongue, remind me of my size.
I'm sure that I can make it, I just need a little space
before Monday comes around again, till then I'll "stuff my face"!

BWAHAHAHA As for inspirational reading -- inspiration for what? Like Louise Hay books? She writes about self-improvement through affirmations.

Do Less
By Author Unknown
Do less thinking,
and pay more attention to your heart.
Do less acquiring,
and pay more attention to what you already have.
Do less complaining,
and pay more attention to giving.
Do less controlling,
and pay more attention to letting go.
Do less criticizing,
and pay more attention to complimenting.
Do less arguing,
and pay more attention to forgiveness.
Do less running around,
and pay more attention to stillness.
Do less talking,
and pay more attention to silence.

Geez, woman. That whole dropping to the ground like a rock thing? Not good. Please consider this my formal request that you side-step that whole business. -sigh- Wish it were that simple. Please try to wander back over and let us know what's shaking.. still thinking about you.
