Yes I made it back from the beach!! I wish I could report that it was a wonderful time, but it wasn't :( The weather just plain sucked. Rain. Rain. More rain.
I was the most ill-prepared I ever have been where vacations are concerned. Not really sure why I was so scatter-brained but I was. However, it was time away. Time alone with my husband--we both really needed some of that.
Had some pretty good seafood, especially the stuffed flounder with hollandaise sauce, oh man! I've decided I could eat just about anything smothered in hollandaise sauce! C'mon, butter and eggs? How could you go wrong?
Now I'm back home knee-deep in Vacation Bible School preparations--we begin Sunday night. Every year I swear I'll never do this again...
The grandprince couldn't be more wonderful. He spent the entire weekend with us two weeks ago. It was exhausting but soooo much fun!!

Great to see you! Glad you got to get away! - even if it wasn't sunny skies. - We're getting ready for our son's wedding - I sure could use a day at the beach right about now! ;D

Ohh I feel your pain, I was doing the wedding thing nearly two years ago and it's just SO much work!! And yes a 'sunny' day at the beach is just the best :)

Gawd I'm comin to live with you, I can't remember the last day I didn't have to use the AC--it's miserable here and no relief in sight :(

Glad you're home.
I pour hollandaise sauce over everything I eat. -Or bernaise... For spam, I prefer bernaise, but hollandaise is better on franks and beans, and peanut butter and jelly.

I'm glad you got some down time. I just had a mushroom, spinach, cheese omelet smothered in Hollandaise sauce and it was mm-mm-good.

I *love* the beach! I grew up near the coast and, though I won't miss the hurricane anxiety, I really miss having beach experiences so handy.
