Should everyone always get a second chance?
I've been rolling this question over and over in my mind since posting the entry below. I haven't come up with a concrete 'yes' or 'no' answer. I've looked at it from every angle and various different scenario's. The best answer I can come up with is simply, "I don't know".
Thanks to those who responded, I agree with each of you. Every situation and every person is different. Currently there's a person close to me that desperately needs a second chance. I've realized that I must try to trust this person again because I do love them and the only other option I have is to deny the second chance and eliminate them from my life, and the latter isn't really an option.
So give me just a one more last chance
Before you say were through
I know I drive you crazy baby
Its the best that I can do
Were just some good ol boys, a makin noise
I aint a runnin round on you
Give me just a one more last chance
Before you say were through

In the average lifetime should we have as many second chances as we want? Exactly when do we draw the line?
Everyone makes mistakes and everyone does things that they wish& nbsp;they hadn't. But is there a limit? And should age and maturity factor in? Should we be given more second chances as a teenager because we're 'learning'?
Our judicial system seems to give a lot of people several 'second' chances. So should we be willing to do the same? Or are we harming the people who constantly seem to be making these bad life choices by giving them second chances? Will they ever learn that there is a price to pay?
Only a moment to drop by and say 'hello'!
The baby is still wonderful and his Mother is improving rapidly. My PC at home is way out on the fritz so my online time will be sporadic for awhile.
I'll for sure be online next week at the office but until I see you all again, thanks for your friendship and I wish for all of you a wonderful weekend!
:)

Yes, that's actually HIM!! Not a great pic but it's from my phone (we left the digital at home, naturally). It was a miserably long day, I was at the hospital for over 25 hours. I'm the walking dead right now, but you wouldn't believe the huge smile on my face!
Also as luck would have it, I'm sick :( I've developed some sort of a cold or something and because of that my grandson has never seen me without a mask on! But hey, that's ok because he really can't see anything anyway, lol.
My daughter was a real trooper! She made me very proud. I had a ringside seat for the delivery-something I really wasn't all that excited about! While I got emotional when he was born, it wasn't until all the excitement had died down and I was sitting off in the corner watching my baby nuzzle and nurture her baby. It was a very special moment.
As for the previous post and the guesses, I believe wolfen came closest at 7 lbs. He actually weighed 6 lbs, 5 1/2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. I was very shocked but the ob nurse explained that those ultrasounds are just estimates and they can be as much as a pound off either way. So... he's not a heavyweight but he is just about the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Many thanks for all your concerns, prayers and words of encouragement!
Well, finally we're going to be having a baby! Yes that's right, she's going to be given a little 'help' tomorrow getting this little boy here. She's in no danger and neither is he, but there are just a few factors that could possibly lead to toxemia among other conditions and the Doctors just feel like there's no point in letting him sit in there and 'simmer' any longer.
As I said in the other post she's technically in labor so we're hoping for a quick ending to a grueling 9 months for the new mother! We have to leave for the hospital at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday to get the ball(s) rolling, heh!
I have a little challenge for you, my dear friends and readers. Ten days ago she had her last ultrasound and the baby weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. based on your expertise or great guessing abilities I ask that you predict what he'll weigh when he bursts into this big, bad, world!
My guess is 7 lbs. 4 oz.
What do you think?
Nana
Still NO baby!!!
I'm getting really anxious and tired of waiting, but imagine how my poor daughter feels now. She no longer has a dress 'size', instead she has a circumference! heh.
Wish I had more time and energy but I don't. We have to leave at 7 a.m. tomorrow for yet another Dr. app., we're both hoping they'll just keep her. I promise to reply to posts and write something a little more interesting really soon.
Love Y'all :)
Still no baby yet, damnit.
I think she might have him this weekend, it's a full moon or a new moon or something--the old timers say it will be this weekend. It probably won't.
OMG my PIANO LESSONS are going amazing!! I've had two lessons and I can already play "When The Saints Go Marching In" with BOTH HANDS!! I'm just waaaaaaay to excited about this!
I like the man for the time being. Time being, will be ending shortly, as the spawns of Satan will be back among us.
It's June 1st and it's miserably hot right now, just can't wait for what August will be like *heavy on the sarcasm here*
Do you all get as pissed off every time you feel up your gas tank, as I do? And now I drive a mid-size, economy car, can't imagine what I'd be feeling like if I was still driving the gas guzzling, SUV that's grazing in our back yard.
So, what's new with you?
